about 5 hours till my stated official enlistment time. in a state of ambivalence now. could not help but to feel excited and nervous at the same time regarding what to expect and what i am going to experience soon. thanks to all the good luck messages from my family members and friends. those little words of encouragement are really important if army life would be too difficult for me, but i would stay optimistic. the other day joel called me from camp and described to me about his army experience so far. he told me that he could not get used to it at first but it got okay after a while. i think everyone would have a little bit of difficulty adjusting to the very different communal lifestyle but we must be able to adapt. i think now the part i am most worried about for army is the immunisation. sounds lame, but i hate needles lol. this is one of the many reasons why i would not take up medicine, even though my parents keep promoting it in front of me, obviously hinting that i should consider that course in university.

i heard that A level results would be out next week. having my DSTA scholarship assessment next week too, wondering if i can book out to take it. the more i read about imperial, the more i am tempted to take up an engineering course there! just keeping my fingers crossed. hope my results and performance would take me there, if not i have already tried my best. :)
